Blog #7 (Smooth current)

List your 3 biggest takeaways from the readings.

First, learning styles if we study the learning styles, it will make learning fun and engaging. I found out that different people learn differently according to the movie visual, Auditory, reading, and writing, and Kinesthetic (VARK) it can help people find out what type of learners they are, and then we can work from that. I also found out that students have a dominant modality, but some prefer other modalities when they learn. This is an important lesson for us teachers, so we can try to understand our students and try to meet their needs.

The second takeaway is using the three phases of the learning process, which are before training, where you activate prior knowledge, or something similar to the first phase. The first phase has to do with reminding the person of the skill they learned before. For example, if you are teaching them how to plant seeds, you will try to remind them of what they learned from their parents. The second phase, which is during training, involves this type of learning that activates measurable learning objectives that we can measure or see the result. For example, they have already planted the seed, and you just see if it is correct or not. The last or third phase has to do with participants applying the new skills and the knowledge of what they have learned. For example, they then use the skills learned and share them with their classmates.

All kids learn differently, and we need to understand that this is how students learn. we should be able to find out each student's learning style so we can try to reach them or be able to teach close to their learning styles. Learning is very important to students because it either motivates or discourages students to learn or quit learning.

Blog #5 (current flowing close to land)

Here are the two videos https://youtu.be/MBYlRmUurJ8 I learned how to make students come to school by following the CRSSP (Choice, Relevance, Strength, Specific, and Passion). If you follow the CRSSP, it will make students motivated and willing to learn. Watching the movie gives me an idea of how to make my students come to school every day and be willing to learn. If a teacher follows the CRSSP with the passion to make students succeed, then it will make learning fun and enjoyable   https://youtu.be/UCFg9bcW7Bk For this movie, it is almost the same as the first, but they have different ideas. This has to do with the 6 C's (Choice, Collaboration, Communication, Critical thinking, Creativity, and Caring). If you follow the 6 C's, it will make your classroom a wonderful and successful classroom, and students will be willing and motivated to learn. By watching this video, I think that I can apply some of his methods of teaching in my class. And his ideas are really great for a cla...

Blog #6 (Floating around near the Land)

What are some things you can do in your classroom to foster creativity and innovation?      Some of the things that I can do in my classroom are doing Social Emotional Learning (SEL), integrating technology, and using technological tools like Google Forms. For the SEL, I know that it really helps my students to be creative in answering questions, and it makes them really focus on the lesson we are doing. For integrating technology, I can see that students are more into technology and love to use technology in doing their work. They become creative and innovative when a task is given to them to complete or find using technology. For Google Forms, I know if they learn to use it, they will create work that will be better than what I created.   What Facebook group OR YouTube channel did you join?      I haven't joined any Facebook or YouTube channels, but I love watching channels that have to do with teaching, so I can apply their method and...
