Blog #3 (The current to land)

 1. Reflect on a poor learning experience.

My poorest experience was when I was still in high school, my teacher tried to teach us how to solve graphing problems. We will solve and then graph the problems it was tough and frustrating for me. However, I found out that if I follow directions and do the work step by step, it will be very easy to do.

2. Reflect on your most significant learning experience.

My most significant learning experience was when I learn how to drive. My uncle watching me drive and telling me how and when to shift the gear made me feel like I was flying. This was the most exciting experience that I had. According to the reading and movie, deep learning is what makes a student successful in life and everything they do. Most student learn by trying to solve real problems either in their community or school. Because I am a kinesthetic learner, I strongly believe that learning by doing will stick with you all of your life. I am an Agriculture teacher, so I teach the students how to plant crops and how to take care of them all the way to when they are bearing fruit. I know and believe that the skills they receive from me, they will be able to use them one day if they do not complete their education or want to do gardening. I teach them how to pollinate, prune, and when to fertilize, and how many times to fertilize. I know that this type of learning is the best, and it is what we call deep learning. Like Katie Martin said, "If we fail to engage teachers in making or designing better learning for their kids, then we will fail ourselves."

3. How do you best learn through technology? Ex: reading blogs, FB posts on teaching, YouTube videos.

The best way I learn technology is by watching people doing the work, and by someone telling me what to do, like what we used to do in class, which I share, and my instructors telling me or guiding me through the work. I also learn by watching YouTube videos, what they do, I follow, and get all the steps to do the work.

Select and describe two of the collaboration tools presented in class: The two collaborative tools that I like are Google Forms and Google Sheets. Google Forms can help me create classwork, tests, and quizzes for my students because our textbooks do not include teacher guides or student workbooks. I can create a simple and easy-to-use tool for my class or students. For Google Sheets, I can create worksheets to use for my Master's Grade Sheet (MGS ) when it comes to grading at the end of the quarter, and I can also help my colleagues with the Google sheet for their grades. Share 2 benefits of using the tool in your current role or job: One benefit of using these two tools it will make my work easier and faster. This will also help people who will teach my subject to have a smooth teaching because all the resources will be provided and ready to use. Another benefit that I see is that it will make learning for the students easier and smoother, and will make creating lesson plans...

Blog #5 (current flowing close to land)

Here are the two videos https://youtu.be/MBYlRmUurJ8 I learned how to make students come to school by following the CRSSP (Choice, Relevance, Strength, Specific, and Passion). If you follow the CRSSP, it will make students motivated and willing to learn. Watching the movie gives me an idea of how to make my students come to school every day and be willing to learn. If a teacher follows the CRSSP with the passion to make students succeed, then it will make learning fun and enjoyable   https://youtu.be/UCFg9bcW7Bk For this movie, it is almost the same as the first, but they have different ideas. This has to do with the 6 C's (Choice, Collaboration, Communication, Critical thinking, Creativity, and Caring). If you follow the 6 C's, it will make your classroom a wonderful and successful classroom, and students will be willing and motivated to learn. By watching this video, I think that I can apply some of his methods of teaching in my class. And his ideas are really great for a cla...

Blog #7 (Smooth current)

List your 3 biggest takeaways from the readings.        First , learning styles if we study the learning styles, it will make learning fun and engaging. I found out that different people learn differently according to the movie visual, Auditory, reading, and writing, and Kinesthetic (VARK) it can help people find out what type of learners they are, and then we can work from that. I also found out that students have a dominant modality, but some prefer other modalities when they learn. This is an important lesson for us teachers, so we can try to understand our students and try to meet their needs.      The second takeaway is using the three phases of the learning process, which are before training, where you activate prior knowledge, or something similar to the first phase. The first phase has to do with reminding the person of the skill they learned before. For example, if you are teaching them how to plant seeds, you will try to remind...
